What is KeyProwler?

KeyProwler is an easy to setup and easy to use PC monitoring application/ Keylogger for Windows that allows you to remotely monitor any PC, secretly or not. Those who are seriously concerned with remotely monitoring a PC cannot imagine doing so without using this amazing tool with a very simple and elegant interface. Simply install this program and KeyProwler will send you Keystroke Log files right to your email! No complex email setup, just simply enter your email address and KeyProwler does the rest!! Start/Stop buttons make logging as easy as using a VCR…KeyProwler can be installed in just 3 minutes!

This program runs on the installed computer, fully hidden from its users, logs in a protected file everything the user types and periodically makes screenshots.

It can be fully hidden from the user, including in the:

    * List of the applications, available if you press Alt+Tab

    * Task list in Windows 9.x/Me (available through Ctrl+Alt+Del)

    * Program Folder can be hidden from KeyProwler’s settings
 

APANSoftware KeyProwler’s log files cannot be viewed using any other application, except itself.

What Commands Are There?

Start – This option starts the logging, much like a VCR, if the “Password Stealth Mode” checkbox is checked, Keyprowler will begin hidden from the user.

Stop – This button stops logging. 

View logs - opens the KeyViewer© easy log viewer. This is where a user can see screenshots and text logs for particular users. Right Click on a date to delete log.

General Settings – This is a list of general KeyProwler settings

            Show Icon in Taskbar - This KeyProwler’s mini-icon in the system tray.

            Always on Top – Set KeyProwler above other windows

Start With Windows – This option allows KeyProwler to start with windows automatically.

Hide Program Folder – Hides the folder that the program is in for increased stealth.

Pause Logging If Inactive – Paused logging if the computer is inactive for more that 10 minutes.

Screenshots – This option allows a user take screenshots based on two criteria, triggers and time-based.

Add Screenshots to log – this option allows a user to add screenshots to the log based on a specified on time intervals.

Capture screen based on triggers – this option permits KeyProwler to constantly examine every keystroke until a trigger word is input, then a screenshot is taken as soon as that word is typed.

Email– This very simple option allows a user set an email address to send logs to.

Email Logs - This allows a user to set a specific time each day to receive daily logs.

To - This a required field that must be entered to be able to receive logs to your email inbox.

Subject - (Can be left empty)

Port - (Can be left empty) uses default port number.

 KeyProwler KeyViewer Commands:

Logs created by KeyProwler can be viewed through KeyProwler using Keyview, which makes viewing logs simple and easy.

Screenshots - This is a collection of the screenshots that were taken from the user on the date chosen.

Logs - Text Logs that were take on the specific date of log.

Back To Log - Button sends you back to log fo the specific date.

Print - Allows you to print the current item in window.

Print Setup - Allows the user to setup print settings, including landscape mode and portrait.

How Do I Start?

1. Choose Your Settings in the Main Screen, then choose the "Start Button". Keyprowler Will now go into Logging Mode.

2. If the stealth mode box is checked, KeyProwler will being in hidden mode, completely hidden from user.

3. After you click ok, If KeyProwler is set in stealth mode, it is completely hidden from user!

How Do I Use The Internet Manager?

Internet Manager is a simple and easy to use domain blocking program, To Block an website:

1. Type in the website that you want to block, if you want to block out an entire site such as Myspace you type “www.myspace.com” if you want to block out certain parts of a site you type in the address i.e “www.myspace.com/messages”.

2. Click “Add” and “OK”, this site is now blocked out, it make take up to 5 minutes for the settings to take place on your PC.

What Are The KeyProwler Stealth Recommendations?

1. KeyProwler is able to run in stealth mode, and also in non-stealth mode to let the user know that the computer is being monitored. To run in complete stealth mode, we give the following recommendations:

        1. Unclick the "Show Icon in Taskbar" is General Settings.

        2. Click the "Start with windows" in General Settings

        3. Click "Hide Program Folder" In General Settings

        4. Click "Password Stealth Mode" in Command Options

If the user takes the following recommendations, KeyProwler will run unseen from teh user!

How Do You Uninstall?

To Increase Stealth, KeyProwler is designed so that it cannot be uninstalled via Windows Add/Remove Programs, the only way KeyProwler can be removed is by using the same installer that is used to install KeyProwler.

To Uninstall KeyProwler:

1. Run KeyProwler Installer that you downloaded. Just as if you were going to reinstall the program.

2. Click "Next" At the Welcome Screen

3. The user is presented with 3 Options, choose "Remove" and click "Next"

4. KeyProwler is now removed from the system.
